On Saturday 16th March this year, Vale Pianos hosted their 3rd ‘Learn to play day’ as part of the national initiative run by ‘Music For All’. It proved to be bigger and better than ever, with many visitors taking free piano lessons and enjoying the marquee and refreshments!
Amanda and Liz gave piano lessons from 10.00am – 4.00pm and we had some excellent feedback, with several taking on future lessons. Vale Pianos hope to stage another Learn to Play Day in September later this year.
During the day there was also plenty to keep the family busy, making music with a giant keyboard, a grand piano to paint and decorate, colouring, quizzes and more. People brought picnics and enjoyed all the day’s activities in the lovely rural setting.
There are many great benefits to playing music and the piano is a great instrument to begin with. It has been scientifically proven that children playing an instrument can achieve better academic results in many other subjects. Social and teamwork skills improve along with memory and co-ordination, which all benefit your child’s education.
