Reid-Sohn & Samick
Reid-Sohn pianos are manufactured by the Samick Musical Instrument group, established in 1958. Their pianos are created by world-renowned German scale designer, Klaus Fenner, with the aim of producing a warm European sound.
Samick are a large Korean company who manufacture pianos in Korea and Indonesia. Samick did acquire part ownership in Bechstein, the well known German manufacturer of pianos, in 2002 and in 2008, Samick acquired Seiler, another German manufacturer. More recently, they have acquired shares in Steinway and plan to increase their share in the company in the future.
Reid-Sohn pianos have several models in an older style, such as the Reid-Sohn 118 walnut satin pictured here. These have proved popular, as some customers prefer the look of a traditional piano.
Other models available: Upright pianos: Reid-Sohn 042, Reid-Sohn 112, Reid-Sohn 121. Selection of grands also available.
